The Commissioner of Police in Lagos, Mr Imohimi Edgal met with the media recently for his regular update on activities of the force.

Many arrested suspected criminals were paraded but some section of the media also had other concerns.

The yuletide is here, and the CP was asked what his plans were to keep Lagos safe during the usually busy and bubbly season.

“Our operational order for the the yuletide stated since late August to cover September, October, November and December.

“I always like the media and the public to be the judge. I cannot be operating and assessing myself.

“We are in November already and your assessment is as good as mine as regards the crime rate in the state.

“The crime rate is very low and people are moving about their lawful businesses,” he said.

He assured Lagosians that the police would continue to do their best to keep the state safe but also warned that residents must also avoid activities that will sabotage efforts of security agencies.

He emphasized the need for their to be proper cooperation between the police and the people.
