It is one area that young people do not look at, but you could mine your gold from anywhere at all.

This is the life of a young man that has created a job for himself in an oil city where unemployed youths wait for oil money.

It had rain heavily and the weather was cold and gloomy.

People hurried to and from different locations, as the 4-hour downpour disrupted activities within Yenagoa, Bayelsa state capital.

Business was, however, good for poultry owners along Swali market road, as they made sales.

As customers who had come to buy chicken, haggled prices with the sellers, a young, dark-skinned man asked: "Mummy, as you wan pay make l kill am"?

Amos Kufre is a native of Oghara in Delta state and with his wooden table behind the poultry at the market he is in business.

He assists customers kill and clean their chicken for a price.

It was drizzling when Bounce News paid him a visit.

Bare chested, he dipped a dead broiler into a pot of boiling water, turned it both ways and brought it out.

Quickly, he ran his right palm over it and the feathers fell off. In less than 15 minutes, he had killed, cleaned and butchered a broiler.

Kufre told our correspondent that it was better for him to work and save money for his education than to engage in crime.

"I have worked here for two years now and assist my family financially, he said.

"My charge is 200 Naira per chicken and I make between 5,400 - 6,000 Naira daily," he revealed, lending credence to what the growing population of Nigeria could mean to any person in business.

The 22-year-old also explained that his customers were mostly restaurant owners. He further stated that he sold the intestines to a fish farmer.

"My customers don't take the chicken feets, heads and intestines.

"I charged a fish farmer the sum of 4,000 Naira monthly for the  intestines.

"I will go back to school next year" he concluded.

A restaurant owner, Mrs Oweilami Hannah, who was at his little space waiting to be attended to, said Kufre has been her customer for 8 months.

"I buy five broilers every day for sale.

"Kufre cleans the broilers well and knows the sizes to cut them in my absence.

"May God bless and elevate him to a higher and better paying job," she prayed.
