While we are rooting for Seun Kuti & The Egypt 80 to win the 'Best World Album' category at the 61st Grammys, we can also support another of our Nigerian brothers who have been nominated.

Nigerian-American, Ibra Ake is nominated for 'Best Music Video' for his work on Childish Gambino's "This Is America".

Ibra Ake who was born and lived in Nigeria for the first few years of his life, and constantly visits the country is a visual artist who frequently collaborates with Donald Glover (Childish Gambino).

Last year, Ake worked as one of the production heads behind the viral "This Is America" clip, which is deservedly nominated for 'Best Music Video' alongside The Caters' "APES**T", Janelle Monáe's "Pynk", Tierra Whack's "Mumbo Jumbo" and Joyner Lucas' "I'm Not Racist".

Both Ibra Ake and Seun Kuti are up for their very first Grammys this year, and we hope they win.

Fingers crossed.
