Auwalu Yahaya and his accomplice, Baffa now at large, allegedly conspired and broke into the home of Alhassan Suleiman.

All they did was to steal Suleman’s plasma television worth N65,000.

Yahaya, an unemployed youth, who resides at Sharada Quarters, Kano. He is facing a three-count charge of criminal conspiracy, house-breaking and theft.

He appeared before a Kano Senior Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

The prosecutor, Insp. Yusuf Sale, told the court that the 25-year-old committed the offences on February 9, at Sharada Quarters, Kano.

The offences contravenes the provisions of Sections 97, 348 and 287 of the Penal Code but the accused pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Senior Magistrate, Aminu Fagge, then ordered the remand of the accused in prison and adjourned the case until March 1, for mention.
