An undergraduate student of the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos has reportedly lost his manhood after giving alms to a beggar.

Hassan Suleiman was said to have given the beggar, who begged him for alms, N50.

The incident happened in front of First Bank in the Fadeyi area of the state.

But seconds after offering the beggar the money, he discovered that he was having a feeling that his manhood had disappeared.

Apparently uncomfortable with the situation, the victim, who is a final year student in the school's Department of Accounting, raised alarm.

The beggar was apprehended by people around but the intervention of the Police prevented mob action.

When information got to his colleagues in school, the students rushed to join him at the scene where the suspect was arrested and taken to the Sabo Police Division.

As information about the incident spread, more students joined their colleagues at the police station, demanding for the head of the beggar.

It took the intervention of the school’s Dean of Students Affairs and Director of Medicals, who joined the protesting students at the police station, before the situation was brought under control.

It was gathered that the victim has been taken to the hospital for laboratory test.
