The murder of a US-based-man in Akure has obviously flashed an amber light to other Nigerians in diaspora who intend returning to spend some days in their homeland.

Mr. Banji Adafin who returned to spend his vacation with his family was ruthlessly murdered in the presence of his family by a brutal gang of armed robbers on July 4, 2017.

Despite sentencing the accused seven men to death by hanging by the Ondo state high court on Thursday, the wife of the deceased, Mrs. Abimbola Adafin doesn't seem to have come to terms with the rationale behind her husband’s return to Nigeria.

A close family source who was at the court disclosed that the widow who is yet to regain the psychological effect of the incident still regrets the decision that led to her husband's return to Nigeria.

"Anytime she is visited since the incident happened, she will ask in tears why did her husband come home? If he had not come, this wouldn't have happened, if only he had postponed his vacation, he would have still been alive.

"That is what we keep hearing from her every time. Till date, she remains inconsolable."
