Luis Enrique won three La Liga titles, the Champions League and the Copa del Rey twice during his three-year spell in charge of FC Barcelona.

Even Arsene Wenger would wish he won titles at that rate as Arsenal manager.

But does this guarantee success for the 47-year-old if he is chosen as the successor to Wenger’s throne?

The Spanish head coach looks likely to take over the reins at the north London club at the end of the 2017-18 season.

Wenger confirmed that he will stand down at the end of the current campaign following a disappointing season.

So, a new manager would be tasked with overhauling the Gunners following their steady regression under Wenger over the past decade.

Arsenal haven’t won the Premier League title since 2003-04 and the fans are desperate for it.

Can Enrique bring success back to the London club? Former FC Barcelona and Liverpool FC winger, Luis Garcia believes his compatriot can do it.

“I think Luis Enrique is one of those managers that you know will be successful wherever he goes,” Garcia told BetStars.

“I met him when we played together at Barcelona, he’s a winner who gives 120% every single game and training session. He always gives his best and he would fit really well with Arsenal’s philosophy.”

Many managers would be dreaming to get hold of Arsenal’s wealth of attacking talents in the shape of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Mesut Ozil.
