The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Theresa May will be counting her lucky stars.

The reason being that the United Kingdom security forces foiled an attempt to assassinate her.

According to Bloomberg quoting Sky News, an attempt on the life of the PM last week by Islamist militants led to the arrest of two men, Naa’imur Zakariyah Rahman, 20, from North London and Mohammed Aqib Imran, 21, from Southeast Birmirgham.

The police believe the plotters planned to create confusion by detonating an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at the Prime Minister’s Downing Street offices and kill Theresa May in the mayhem.

The duo will appear at Westminster Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday morning over the matter.
