Each time the Resident Electoral Commissioner, in Oyo State, Mutiu Agboke, looks at the heap of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) he wonders what the electoral body will do with them.

There are 756,000 cards belonging to voters in Oyo State that are yet to be collected and Mr. Agboke is appealing to owners of the unclaimed Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs, to come and collect them.

The REC advised the owners of the PVCs to visit the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, offices across the state to collect them before the August 17 deadline.

He made the appeal during an advocacy visit to the Governor of the state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, in company of senior officials of the commission.

The REC said: "e are not pleased that we still have 756,000 PVCs yet to be claimed by their owners. Therefore, we are appealing to the owners of these cards to visit our offices across the state to collect their PVC".
