Nigerians, earlier in the day, took over social media with the hashtag, #WhereIsBuhari, demanding to see President Muhammadu Buhari who has been 'missing' in action in recent times.

The demand followed Buhari's absence at the annual Workers' Day celebration.

This year’s May Day celebration was graced by the Minister of Labour, Dr Chris Ngige, Senate President Bukola Saraki and few other political personalities.

There was, however,  a mild drama at the event, when the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Labour who stood in for the President wanted to address the workers.

The workers resisted with anger as chants of "we no go gree oo, we no go gree" rented the air.

They later staged a walkout.

Immediately after the incident, many Nigerians took to Twitter to lament their frustration at the increasing disappearing acts of the President.
