The whereabouts of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu and his parents are unknown.

This follows the invasion of the Kanu family home in Afaraukwu Local Council Area in Abia State.

The palace of Kanu’s father, Eze Israel Kanu, who is the traditional ruler of the Afaraukwu community was destroyed.

Nnamdi's younger brother popularly called Fine Boy, confirmed the incident but did not comment on matters arising.

He invited interested journalists to come to the house and take pictures of how the invaders destroyed the compound and desecrated the traditional ruler’s palace.

Residents of the area, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the soldiers on arrival shot sporadically for about 40 minutes.

An eyewitness said other residents are contemplating not spending the night in their homes around the Kanu’s compound.

There are fears of fresh invasion.

But when contacted, the police spokesman in the state, Geoffrey Ogbonna, said the command was unaware of the September Visitors.
