What Buhari Told Nigerians In U.S. About ‘Baba Go Slow’
If you are part of those referring to President Muhammadu Buhari as 'Baba Go Slow', there is a question he wants you to answer.
The Nigerian leader is in the United States of America for the United Nations’ General Assembly and he also made out time to meet with Nigerians in the U.S.
At the meeting that held on Thursday, President Buhari made a joke with the fact that people often referred to him as Baba Go Slow.
The reference, which has become popular, started after the over 75-year-old president took time to appoint his Ministers.
But the President had said it was better to go slow and do the right thing.
At the meeting again, President Buhari said: “Sometimes people call me ‘Baba Go Slow.’ Those who were going fast –where did they go to”?
President Buhari told the gathering that his administration was doing its best to ensure that all Nigerians were safe and to end every killing in the nation perpetrated by armed bandits.
The meeting came few days after President Buhari gave a speech at the General Debate of the Assembly where he touched seven key areas.
