The defending English Premier League champions appear to have softened on their initial quest to retain the title.

Antonio Conte's men looked like washed up sponges as they created several chances but failed to earn all three points.

In an interview with Chelsea TV, Belgium international, Eden Hazard described the match as a "good result".

"We missed a lot of chances. Lots of chances. We could have scored more goals maybe but I think that the draw is a good result", he said.

When asked what his impression was on both sides choice to attack from the blast of the whistle, he said;

"Both teams had enough chances, lots of open gates. The attacking players on both sides are very good. Both for Chelsea and Arsenal so the game was always open.

There may have been a hint of person assessment and contribution to the team and Hazard rates himself quite high.

"For me I just want to keep going, keep scoring, create a lot of chances and assists.

"I just want to win games, win trophies at the end of the season.

"That's why I am on the pitch, that's why it is my job.

"I have scored less goals this year but in terms of the football I have improved. This year I created a lot of chances.

"On the ball I am very good, I feel very confident with the ball and also without the ball I do my job".

On the rest of the season Hazard says the team has to move forward.

"The next game is in the FA Cup. Then we go to Brighton. So we need to win games.

"We need to get points because we plan to finish in the top four.

"The league is not finished but Man City, they are very far. We are looking at them. We will try to catch them till the end of the season", he said.

Perhaps he is already considering life outside the Bridge.
