The Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun, says Nigeria is coming out of recession and believes that the nation's economy will be stronger afterwards.

Addressing a meeting in Abuja on Tuesday, she said that there were positive signs that the economy of the oil-rich nation was moving out of recession.

“Nigeria is coming out of recession. We are beginning to see the signs and we will come out to become stronger,” she told the gathering on a day that she had been summoned by the House of Representatives.

According to her, the government was putting strategies in place to plug leakages, reduce wastage and at the same time increase the Gross Domestic Product.

Adeosun said that the government would also embark on a single window project execution to further raise the standard of development.

The House of Representatives had summoned the Minister after a lawmaker raised allegations against her bordering on breach of Procurement Act.
