The killing of seven policemen in Abuja on Monday has given the police a fresh reason to reject the #EndSARS campaign asking them to disband the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

The Police Public Relations Officer, Force Headquarters, ACP Jimoh Moshood made it clear in a chat with newsmen in Abuja on Tuesday.

“The killing of the policemen goes a long way to prove that the call for the disbandment of the SARS is not justified,” he said.

The officers were killed in Galadimawa area of the Federal Capital Territory on Monday night.

He added that efforts were in place to arrest those who killed the men in the line of duty and they would not leave any stone unturned in bringing the perpetrators to book.
