Coach of Zambia’s Chipolopolo, Wedson Nyirenda is still hopeful of booking a 2018 FIFA World Cup ticket ahead of Nigeria.

Zambia is hoping to qualify for their first FIFA World Cup despite placing second and three points behind Group B leaders, Nigeria.

The 2013 Africa champions host Zambia on October 7 in one of the last two matches of the qualifiers at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.

For Nyirenda, his dream can still come true and will be leading his team to Uyo with the sole aim of winning and snatching the Russia ticket from Nigeria.

“The chances (to topple Nigeria) are still there, we are going into that pitch with only one thing in mind – to go to Russia. Anything can happen.

“Nigeria also have a last game against Algeria and we have a last game against Cameroon at home.”

Zambia will finalise their training in Ghana before heading to Nigeria for the game.
