Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is targeting at least three points from the 2018 World Cup qualifier two-legged fixtures against Cameroon.

Nigeria host Cameroon in Uyo on September 1 before playing away in Yaoundé three days later in the return leg.

Currently topping the Group B with four points having won their two previous matches, the Super Eagles are trailed by the Indomitable Lions who are second with two points, leaving Zambia and Algeria on a point each.

Rohr wants Nigeria to keep the distance from Cameroon, and is targeting at least three points from a possible six.

“In these two games, we need at least three points from the two matches and it would be great to have the points already in our home game.

“We are stronger with more experience than the last time (a 2-0 defeat at home to South Africa in AFCON qualifier) as the key players are here now, in each department we have a key player who is back,”

Captain John Obi Mikel will be making a return to the Super Eagles after a long spell on the sideline. Also returning are Victor Moses and Leon Balogun.
