Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel has hailed coach Gernot Rohr ahead of Nigeria’s 2018 World Cup against Zambia on October 7.

Rohr has coached the team to top Africa Group B qualifiers with 10 points, three adrift of second place Zambia.

A win against Zambia at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on October 7, will seal Nigeria’s place in Russia 2018 with one game to spare.

Mikel commended the coaching headed by Rohr as well as his teammates as he believes the Super Eagles have shown professionalism.

“We have all shown professionalism, dedication and determination to be at the pole position in a group tagged 'Group of Death.'

"Commendations must go to the entire team and the Coach, but we must finish it up in Uyo and secure our ticket right there.”
