Empress Njamah thinks women also have a part to play in matters of domestic violence in Nigeria.

The actress said some women nag their partners, leading to physical altercation when the man can no longer tolerate the verbal assault.

“Sometimes women are headstrong and they can actually traumatise their partner mentally, that can actually make them run mad,” she said, adding that some men ‘probably do not know when they hit’ the women.

“Marriage is not bed of roses,” she continued, and then went on tasking women to ‘help’ the men.

This statement may not go down well with many Nigerians with the recent spate of domestic violence cases making the headlines, like the one of popular Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe and her husband Lanre Gentry.
