Internationally acclaimed singer, Asa thinks a collaboration between herself and Wizkid would be interesting.

We're not averse to the idea either.

The "Eyo" singer made this known during a chat with television veteran, Funmi Iyanda.

Iyanda had sought Asa's comment on an episode online which saw fans attack Wizkid for saying Asa was the only Nigerian musician he wanted to do a collaboration with.

Asa went on to express her regret over the incident, pointing out that Wizkid was a "sweet person" and that it was unfair for fans to have attacked him for saying that.

"He's a sweet guy. It was even sweet of him to say that (he wanted to work with me) and I felt bad (about the incident) and I thought 'Oh my God I hope he doesn't think I incited it or wouldn't want to work with him'" she said.

Speaking on the possibility of working with Wizkid, Asa said:

"I would really like to work with him. I think he's interesting, it would be a nice collaboration. I would love to see Wizkid in another context, being himself. We'd make something really nice"
