In Nigeria, the pressures on a woman to get married is commonplace.

Now Nollywood wants to play into this narrative this new year.

With a film in the cinemas already dwelling on this issue ('June'), the movie 'Memoirs Of 4' also follows in this direction.

'Memoris Of 4' is a story of four different women who face the societal pressure of getting married in different variations. Four friends who have reached various levels of successes find themselves dissatisfied and drowned in situations created by societal pressures, and their mission to overcome these issues brings them together.

The movie stars  Adesua Etomi ('The Wedding Party'), Linda Ejiofor ('The Meeting') and Gbenro Ajibade ('Gbomo Gbomo Express').

On Instagram, Rantimid, the producers of the film described Adesua Etomi's character as:

"Teniola, the beautiful, rich, outspoken and intelligent woman. She has it all but missing out on one thing she pretends not to care about.

"So beautiful, she looks for it in the comfort of her luxuriously big room and loneliness."

The  movie is out in cinemas from February 23.
