Petroleum Tanker Drivers have commenced lifting petroleum products following the suspension of strike on Monday.

PTD, a branch of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural gas Workers, on Monday, suspended their strike action to allow for further dialogue with the Federal Government and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation.

A visit by Bounce News to some filling stations in Isolo and Apapa area of Lagos showed that fuel tankers have started supplying products to them.

We also saw a long queue of tankers along the Apapa-Oshodi expressway heading to the Apapa depots to lift petroleum products.

The striking drivers called off their action after a meeting with relevant government agencies in Abuja on Monday.

At the meeting, called at the instance of the NNPC Group Managing Director, Maikanti Baru, the Federal Government negotiated with the tanker drivers in a bid to satisfy their yearnings for an increase in their margins.
