Nigeria forward, Olanrewaju Kayode has hit the ground running at his new club Shakhtar Donetsk; scoring on his debut.

Kayode sealed the victory in his club’s 3-0 away win against Zorya in their Ukrainian top-flight clash on Sunday.

Despite being given a cameo role as he was introduced into the game in the 91st minute for Facundo Ferreyra, Kayode got on the scoresheet in the 93rd minute to make it 3-0 for Shakhtar.

Kayode joined Shakhtar on loan from English Premier League runaway leaders, Manchester City after a torrid time at La Liga side - Girona.

The Super Eagles star played in 12 games for Girona without scoring before joining Shakhtar who he has scored for in his first outing which lasted for less than five minutes.

It is yet to be seen if Kayode will be able to sustain the momentum that could see him get back into the plans of Coach Gernot Rohr for the World Cup in Russia.
