AY Makun has cut a new niche for himself in action comedy, from 'A Trip To Jamaica' where we saw flashes of the genre spring unto the screen.

This became clearer in ‘The Accidental Spy’ which starred usual suspect, Ramsey Nouah as the main character.

He continues to follow this path in his upcoming movie, 'Merry Men: The Real Yoruba Demons.'

From the first teaser, it is easy to see that AY Makun continues to experiment with various action sub-genres, he tries espionage in ‘The Accidental Spy’ and will be making a heist movie with ‘Merry Men: The Real Yoruba Demons’

While an official synopsis hasn't been released, we can deduct from the title and the teaser that the move will be about ‘fine boys’ who break the heart of women (Yoruba demons), and rob the rich (‘Merry Men’ coined  after the famous Robin Hood and His Merry Men).

The teaser hints at a tense plot, with  Falz who is more popular for acting strictly comedic roles playing a more serious role in an action packed performance.

The film stars Ramsey Nouah, Jim Iyke, Falz, Ireti Doyle and Damilola Adegbite.

Heist movies are not commonplace in Nollywood, so it would be nice to see how the movie will turn out.
