Guys, if you patronize sex workers, don’t be ashamed to sit up, read this carefully and take notes.

Bigger shame might be lying in the wait if you fail to learn the lesson.

Chukwuemeka Ofoegwu had gone to enjoy himself with a sex worker, Hilda, in a hotel on April 28 at Isaac John Street, Ikeja.

After bouts of sex, the ashawo grabbed her smartphone and took nude pictures of Ofoegwu in the hotel without his consent with the intention to blackmail him.

She then threatened to post the pictures on social media if Chukwuemeka refused to pay her the sum of five million naira!

She also sent threat messages to the customer’s cell phone in order to coerce him into dropping the money.

Mr Ofoegwu found the courage to get the police involved in the matter and Miss Davids was arrested.

But only few men can afford to speak out if found in such dilemma because of the embarrassment and particularly, relationships that could be ruined in the process.

Hilda Davids, on Wednesday appeared before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court, facing a two-count charge of intent to extort by blackmail and to steal.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Simeon Imhonwa, gave the account of all that transpired between the ashawo and her customer, noting that the offences contravened Sections 299 and 300 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 (revised).

The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs B.O. Osunsanmi, granted the accused bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.

Osunsanmi said the sureties must be gainfully employed and should also provide evidence of two years tax payment to the Lagos State Government.

The case was adjourned until July 12 for hearing.
