The fourth edition of the annual Legacy Volleyball Championship will have at least 30 teams on parade.

It will be holding in Lagos between November 5-10, 2018 at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere.

Chairman of Legacy Volleyball Club, Olukayode Ladele revealed that the Ghana Police Volleyball team and some other top volleyball teams from Benin Republic and Togo have all indicated interest to be part of this year’s edition.

 According to him, all the necessary arrangements to make this year’s championship bigger than the previous editions are already in place.

“This tournament started four years ago with a one-day tournament where we had five team on parade. The second year we had close to 15 teams, while the third edition recorded over 20 teams with teams coming from every state in Nigeria including Benin Republic. This year is going to be bigger than what we used to be having.

“We are doing this to promote volleyball in the country, we are not asking anybody for money..."

“The Customs, Nigeria Police, Army, Volleyball clubs in Jos, Kaduna, Kano will be at the tournament. So you can see a lot of players that are representing various Nigeria teams are going to be in one team or the other. So it is going to be highly competitive.
