Nigerians were shocked when the Nigeria Police Force on Sunday said it will invite the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, for questioning over claims by suspects of Offa Banks robbery that they work for the Senate President.

After the police issued a statement on its findings so far on the famous robbery incident that led to the death of at least 33 persons, Senator Saraki dismissed the allegation, insisting it was a plot to embarrass him.

Later on Monday, the police retracted its statement, saying it will no longer invite Saraki, but also published a video of one of the suspects explaining his link with the Senate President.

The Senate President had asked his ADC to get the invitation notice from the police, expressing his readiness to go for questioning.

He says he has no link with band of criminals.
