VIDEO: Osinbajo Teaches IDPs Christian Song, Nigerians React
Nigerians have reacted to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s activities at the Internally Displaced Persons’ camp at Abagena in Benue State.
Osinbajo had engaged in a sing-along with internally displaced children living in the camp during an official visit.
Benue had experienced several attacks by suspected Fulani herdsmen, leading to the killing of hundreds of people, with thousands currently displaced from their ancestral lands.
When Osinbajo visited the Abagena camp on Tuesday, he gave the children a new song.
Osinbajo’s Senior Special Assistant-Media and Publicity Laolu Akande, quoted the VP on his Twitter account as telling the displaced children and everyone living in the camp that, “going forward, they shall be winners.”
The VP then went ahead to teach them a motivational song titled, “Winner Oh, Oh,” which Akande described as “compelling and prophetic.”
This however has got Nigerians talking

VP Osinbajo arrives Benue where he 'll be visiting Idps & stakeholders with a message of hope and restoration. He is received by Gov Ortom, accompanied by Agric Minister Ogbeh, NEMA DG & other FG officials.— Laolu Akande (@akandeoj) May 15, 2018
The only thing our leaders knows how to do is to be creating idp camps so that they can visit for cheap political gain. We urge to prevent situations that can lead to the creation of idp camps example stop the killings by the herders.— Ene Odaudu (@OdauduEne) May 15, 2018
Unfortunately, this government has failed our(Benue) people... This visit I want to assure @ProfOsinbajo is waste of time, energy and resources, we the people have heard it loud and have seen it clear. Posterity will judge @NGRPresident Benue is not for this clueless gunment.— Jebu Solomon (@Jebudgreat) May 15, 2018
You are being economical with the truth.— Asiwaju Fans (@FansofTinubu) May 15, 2018
Since the arrest of Aliyu Teshaku, Gov. Ortom's aide, the killings in Benue have reduced.
The Nigerian Army, today raided a militia camp in Nasarawa State and recovered ammunitions and also arrested some suspects.
@NGRPresident We don't need visits @ idp camps. Go and dislodge our killers in our farmlands.— Iorhemen Raymond (@IorhemenRaymond) May 15, 2018
