(VIDEO) One Injured As PDP Supporters Clash Over Saraki Money
One person was injured as supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State clashed over money given to them by some stalwarts of the party on Monday.
The ugly incident at the party’s state secretariat during the visit of the Senate President Bukola Saraki.
Saraki was in Lagos to secure the party leaders and delegates’ support ahead of PDP’s presidential primaries.
Immediately after the meeting with the party leaders, Saraki and other party stalwarts at the meeting including governorship candidate, Deji Doherty dropped some bundles of naira notes for the supporters, who were mainly youths.
Saraki on Monday gave the delegates N5million to secure their support ahead of the party’s presidential primary election.
Aside the delegates, Saraki also donated N3million for the payment of the party's secretariat rent, N2million to the party, N1m to the party leaders, N500,000 for the Women and N500,000 for the youth.
Conflict, however ensued over the mode of cash sharing. There was a heated argument among the youths over who takes what.
In the process, one of them became very angry, and broke a bottle on the head of one of those struggling with the person in possession of the cash.

Other party members who came for the meeting hurriedly left the venue as the clash escalated.
Security personnel stationed to control the crowd watched helplessly.
One of youths called Saheed was however able to guide the person holding the money into the office of the youth leader.
As at 3.50pm when Bounce News correspondent left the secretariat, the members were still locking around the secretariat, insisting to get their self-acclaimed dividends of democracy.
