John Ogu was not given any chance to play for the Super Eagles at the recently concluded World Cup in Russia but the midfielder showed what he could bring to the table; scoring one of the goals for his Israeli club in their Champions League qualification match against Dinamo Zagreb.

Though Tuesday's match ended in a 2-2 draw, it was not enough for Ogu and his Hapoel Beer Sheva teammates to pull through to continue their Champions League adventure.

They were ousted on a 7-2 aggregate scoreline; having lost the first leg scandalously  5-0.

Ogu's goal came in the 14th minute; giving fans false hope that a comeback was possible after the big loss in the reverse fixture.

It now means Beer Sheva will drop to the Europa League to compete for honour and also focus on defending their League title in Israel.
