The United States Government on Wednesday, June 20, deported 34 Nigerians.

The deportees were sent back after committing various offenses in America.

A Nigeria Immigration Service source said the deportees were found guilty of fraud, homicide, impersonation and possession of prohibited items.

32 males and 2 females, arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos at about 2.30pm on Wednesday, and were received by a large ‘welcoming party’.

The ‘welcoming party’ was comprised of officers from Immigration Service, National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons,  Nigeria Police Force and Nigeria’s Drug Law Enforcement Agency(NDLEA).

The spokesperson for the Lagos Airport Police Command, DSP Joseph Alabi, confirmed the development.
