Fresh facts have emerged on the meeting between ex-governor of Ogun State, Olusegun Osoba and incumbent Ibikunle Amosun

Bounce News investigation has revelaed that contrary to reports that the meeting was planned, it was never planned.

It was gathered that Amosun just made an unannounced visit to Osoba’s home in Lagos on Sunday and the latter had no choice but to receive him.

The approach employed by Amosun was the reason Osoba is captured in casuals in the images of the meeting.

For those who know Osoba, he wont have wore that attire with a sitting governor especially one that he is sure would attract great attention.

During the meeting, both had discussions on the Saturday’s ward congresses of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

Bounce News gathered that while Osoba conceded on the need for all stakeholders in the party to work together, the former governor did not commit self of his structure to any recommendations by Amosun.

He was said to have told Amosun to come again on Wednesday with members of his team for a more elaborate discussion.

Those who should know insist, the former governor did not make any declaration of support during or after the meeting as being spread by Governor Amosun’s men all over town.

The Lagos meeting between Osoba and Amosun came against the backdrop of an initial close door engagement between the former governor’s key men and the incumbent state helmsman.

The two sides though in the same political party have been on opposing ends of politics in a deep seethed fight for the soul of the state chapter of the APC with many political careers derailed or wrecked as consequence.
