The recession appears to be biting harder and some Nigerians are caving in due to pressure.

The man, whose identity was not disclosed, was said to have committed suicide due to frustration arising from family pressure.

The man along with other civil servants are being owed six months salaries by the state government despite special bailout funds from federal authorities and refunds made by the Paris Club.

He used his bed sheet to hang himself in a vacant room of an uncompleted building.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday at Vanguard Street off Imgbi Road, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

The man left behind his wife and 6 children.
