Unidentified Number Of Boko Haram Terrorists Killed By Troops In Borno
Troops of 151 Battalion, 21 Brigade Nigerian Army on operation Lafiya Dole have made a remarkable gain in efforts to contain the activities of Boko Haram terrorising the region.
They had laid an ambush for the terrorists crossing point at Bocost along Ngurosoye -Bama road in Borno State and killed a large number of suspected terrorists, the military said on Monday.
Some other suspected terrorists escaped with gunshot wounds, Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman, said in a statement.
A few items were recovered from the fleeing terrorists that have terrorised communities in Nigeria’s northeast for more than 8 years.
"The troops recovered the following items from the terrorists; 1 AK 47 rifle with the registration number 1029, 1 AK 47 magazine, 60 rounds of 7.62mm Special, 3 Bicycles, 4 Empty Jerricans, a Cutlass and the cash sum of Five Thousand and Six Hundred Naira (N5 600.00k) only,” the statement further read.

Air raids have also continued in Sambisa forest area by the Nigerian Air Force.
The Nigerian Air Force said it destroyed more structures in Borno used by Boko Haram insurgents as meeting points.
