Former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Olisa Metuh is sick and admitted at the hospital for an undisclosed ailment.

He was due to return in court and continue his trial before Justice Okon Abang at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday, January 22, 2018.

Metuh has been standing trial for allegedly collecting N400 million from the former National Security Adviser (NSA) Sambo Dasuki.

But he is currently receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness at the Nnamdi Azikwe University Teaching Hospital in Nnewi.

The development has forced trial judge Okon Abang to adjourn till Tuesday January 23, 2018, to enable cross-examination of Metuh’s 9th witness.

Metuh’s counsel, Emeka Etiaba, in December 2017 told a Federal High Court in Abuja that the lives of his clients Metuh and the lead counsel in the case, Dr Onyechi Ikpeazu, are threatened as a result of the subpoena order of the court which had asked former President Goodluck Jonathan to testify in the case.
