The UN humanitarian office in Maiduguri had on August 11, announced the suspension of its humanitarian operations after a misunderstanding with the military.

But the Special Adviser on Communication to Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno, Isa Gusau, announced in Maiduguri on Saturday that the aid workers are coming back.

UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed must have intervened after the governor informed her of the development.
