UN Resumes Humanitarian Activities In Borno
They have been attacked, they have lost colleagues but they will not abandon the people at this time.
The United Nations says it is not tired of humanitarian activities in the north-eastern part of Nigeria affected by insurgency.
Therefore, their operations will resume soon.
The UN humanitarian office in Maiduguri had on August 11, announced the suspension of its humanitarian operations after a misunderstanding with the military.
But the Special Adviser on Communication to Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno, Isa Gusau, announced in Maiduguri on Saturday that the aid workers are coming back.
UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed must have intervened after the governor informed her of the development.
