Mohamed Salah scored one of the goals as Liverpool crushed Manchester City 3-0 in their Champions League first leg tie at Anfield on Wednesday.

However, there was a sour point for the Reds as Salah appears to have been injured.

The Egyptian star received medical attention on the sideline early in the second half of Liverpool''s quarter final first leg.

He then headed straight down the tunnel as was replaced by Georginio Wijnaldum in the 53rd minute.

Salah broke the deadlock after just 12 minutes before Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's rocket and Sadio Mane's header gave the hosts a 3-0 lead after just half an hour as Liverpool flew out of the traps.

The Cityzens improved after the break after a change of shape, but despite dominating much of the possession, they were unable to find a way through the Reds' resilient defence; failing to register any shot on target.
