UCL: Super Eagles Striker Eyes Upset Against Man City
Though it looks like mission impossible, Super Eagles striker Olanrewaju Kayode and his Shaktar Donetsk teammates will be hoping to cause an upset.
They face Manchester City in one of the games in Match Day 4 of the UEFA Champions League.
Shaktar already have their back against the wall and would need a good result at the Etihad Stadium to stay in contention.
The Mountaineers go to England for the away game, where they need a victory to improve their chances to qualify for the playoffs.
City are dictating the pace in Group F where they have six point while Lyon are second on the log with five points from three games also.
The duo of Hoffenheim FC and Shakhtar Donetsk have two points apiece.
Last year, Shakhtar lost to The Citizens at the Etihad but hopefully this time, they will try and get their revenge.
Paulo Foncesa's men are on a tight spot now. Not so long time ago, they lost to Man City in the fixture's first leg in Kharkiv; then, they put up a spectacular fight with Lyon in the League, and eventually beat Dynamo and Kyiv-based Arsenal FC in the home championship.
Meanwhile, the Citizens are getting ready for the derby against Manchester United; so, their thoughts may as well be with the game slated for this weekend.
It will widely be expected that the Cityzens will save the best for the far more powerful opponent, not spending too much effort to beat Shakhtar.
