Sevilla have qualified for the quarter final stage of the UEFA Champions League after they secured a shock 2-1 win on Tuesday night away to Manchester United.

The Red Devils had forced out a barren draw in the reverse fixture last term out in Spain and many had predicted the English team to progress.

However, that was not the case as Sevilla produced a masterclass performance and their efforts were helped with two quickfire goals scored by second-half substitute  Wissam Ben Yedder in the 74th and 78thminute.

Though Romelu Lukakku pulled one back, it was far from being enough to help Manchester United stay in contention in this season’s champions league.

In the other Tuesday game, Edin Dzeko fired Roma into the quarter final with his 52nd minute goal.

The Italians who lost 2-1 in the first leg away to Shakhtar Donetsk progressed on the away goals rule.
