UCL: Roma Risks Tough Sanctions Over Racist Chants
The European football governing body, UEFA has announced that they have opened disciplinary proceedings against Roma following racist chanting during Wednesday's Champions League game with Chelsea.
Antonio Rudiger, a former Roma player who moved to Stamford Bridge in the summer, is said to have been the target on monkey chants during the game which eventually ended in a 3-3 draw.
The case will be dealt with by UEFA's Control, Ethics and Disciplinary body when it meets on November 16.
It is understood that this is not the first time Rudiger will be suffering this from Roma fans as he was subjected to same treatment while even playing for the Italian club.
