UCL: Lewandowski To Miss Bayern Clash Against Celtic
Striker Robert Lewandowski has been ruled out of the Bayern Munich UEFA Champions League clash against Celtic.
The game will be played at Celtic Parkhead home ground in Glasgow on Tuesday.
Bayern team flew out to Scotland on Monday, leaving Lewandowski behind in Munich.
The 29-year-old injured his left thigh in the first half of Bayern's 2-0 win over RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
Bayern explains why the player was left behind.
"It's a precautionary measure, the coach didn't want to take any risks. He (Lewandowski) will be able to play on Saturday," said chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
Bayern Munich is second in Group B, behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain who are three points clear. Celtic are third.
