Finally, Philippe Coutinho will now play his first game for Liverpool this season when they host Sevilla in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed that Coutinho is now available for selection after Manchester City whooped the Reds 5-0 on Saturday.

The Brazilian playmaker has not featured for Liverpool since handing in a transfer request to force a move to Barcelona in the summer.

But Liverpool insisted and refused to sell their prize asset after rejecting a string of bids worth £119m.

Coutinho’s return could be a tactic of club's coaching crew to avoid what happened to Liverpool in the English Premier League against Manchester City on Saturday.

Sadio Mane was sent off, and the midfield of Liverpool collapsed, leaving the club to suffer a 5-0 defeat at the Etihad.
