UCL: Bayern’s Robben Ruled Out Of Real Madrid Clash
Bayern Munich winger, Arjen Robben has been ruled out of the UEFA Champions League semifinal return leg clash against Real Madrid.
Robben did not make the trip to Spain ahead of Tuesday’s encounter due to an adductor problem.
The 34-year-old started last week's first leg, which Real Madrid won 2-1 in Munich, but was on the pitch for just eight minutes.
Though he trained alone on Sunday, Robben’s name was missing when Bayern publish a list of 21 for the trip to Madrid.
Bayern must score at least twice at the Bernabeu and going there without Robben, who has provided seven goals and six assists this season, is a major blow.
Bayern have not won on six visits to the Bernabeu since a 1-0 triumph in 2001.
