South Africa's Amajita and the Flying Eagles of Nigeria played out a goalless draw in their second Group clash at the CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday in Niamey.

Nigeria began their campaign with a 2-0 win over Burundi, while Amajita drew 1-1 with host in their Group A opener over the weekend

The Flying Eagles saw a lot of the ball in the early stages, but it was South Africa who had the first opening when Siphesihle Mkhize was denied by Kopano Thuntsane.

Other than the Mkhize opening, Amajita were unable to mount any serious openings at goal as they struggled to get out of their own half for most of the stanza.

With the solitary point earned on Tuesday, the Flying Eagles are still top in group A with four points while South Africa have two points with Niger Republic and Burundi set to play each other in the other group game.

Amajita will face Burundi in their final Group A clash on Friday evening and Flying Eagles will take on the host nation Niger.

Nigeria only need to avoid defeat in their last game against hosts, Niger to ensure qualification for the semifinal of the U-20 AFCON and for the World Cup in Poland later this year.
