Top Russian clubs, FC Lokomotiv Moscow and CSKA Moscow are reportedly in the front row in the quest to sign Super Eagles striker Kayode Olarenwaju away from his Austrian club.

It is understood that Olarenwaju's agent, Frants Hertsogis is getting set to visit the Russian capital in the coming weeks to commence negotiations.

A report in SportsexpressRussia on Sunday revealed that outside the two Russian clubs identified as front runners in the race for Olarenwaju’s signature, Israeli top side Maccabi Netanya are also waiting in the wings to sign on the 24-year old.

Olarenwaju finished 2016-17 season as Austrian Tipigo Bundesliga top scorer.

He scored 17 goals in 33 league games for the Violets, making it a total of 24 goals in all competitions in the concluded season.

Olarenwaju’s club finished second on the league table behind RedBull Salzburg with 63 points and will play in the Europa League next season.
