Italian club AS Perugia have officially unveiled Nigerian striker, Sadiq Umar.

Sadiq who is originally on the books of another Italian club, AS Roma will play on loan at Perugia for the rest of the season.

The gangling striker had joined Rangers on loan from Roma last summer, but deal was cut short due to lack of playing time.

At Rangers, Sadiq played only five matches, mostly as a substitute and he was surplus to requirements at the Scottish Premiership side handled by Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard.

Though Sadiq joined Roma in 2015, he has failed to establish himself as a regular for the Serie A club, who have now opted to loan him to Perugia in the Italian second division to help revive his career.

Perugia are presently 9th on the log and would require goals from Sadiq to help improve their chances of returning to the Serie A anytime soon.
