The Darien Police Department says officers responded to a call about shots fired in a home in the 7500-block of Farmingdale Drive, and found the bodies about 1 a.m.
The 42-year-old Nigerian pharmacist living in Chicago, was said to have shot his 33-year-old Cameroonian wife identified as Bourk Esho.
He also shot their 8-year-old daughter, Olivia Esho, before proceeding to shoot and kill himself.
The 8-year-old died in the arms of their older son, a 13-year old boy who heard gun shots and wanted to call his mom’s attention to it, not knowing it was his dad firing the shots.
He saw his mom in a pool of her own blood and so was his 8-year old sister. He carried her and cried for help, but sadly, he lost her.
They also left behind, a 4-year old girl who escaped the shooting.
