The world's most exciting and keenly contested football league resumes on Friday.

All clubs have been training in preseason, while some coaches have signed top players to strengthen their squads.  

Bounce News takes a look at three top fixtures on match day one.

Arsenal Vs Leicester (Friday August 11)

The 2017/18 English Premier League season will open with a Friday night match between Arsenal and Leicester City.

In the last six games played by both teams during preseason, Arsenal won three, lost two and drew one; while Leicester City won two, lost three and also drew one.

The last EPL match between the teams ended 1-0 in favour of the Gunners on April 26 when Robert Huth’s own goal gifted Arsenal at the Emirates stadium.

Arsenal now have Alexandre Lacazette in their attack, while Leicester has also boosted their squad with the signing of Kelechi Iheanacho.

The Emirates stadium will host the first game, with Arsenal playing 2015/16 champions Leicester with a 7.45pm kick-off on Friday 11 August.

Chelsea Vs Burnley (Saturday August 12)

English Premier League champions, Chelsea will begin the defense of their trophy as they kick off the new campaign with a game against Burnley.

Despite winning the league last season, manager Antonio Conte has added new players to the squad, and dropped those he deemed unfit to his plans.

Burnley have the edge when it comes to head to head clash between the two clubs.

42 matches have been played, with Burnley winning 12, while Chelsea have recorded nine victories against Burnley.

Their last EPL meeting ended in a 1-1 draw on February 12, 2017, with Chelsea winning the reverse fixture 3-0 on August 27, 2016.

Manchester United Vs West Ham (Sunday August 13)

Star studded Manchester United will host West Ham United on Sunday.

The Jose Mourinho side have the better record in 38 head to head meeting between both teams with 19 wins, while West Ham have 11 victories to their credit.

Manchester United will compete in the UEFA Champions League this season, but the side still have their eyes on the domestic title.

West Ham lost 2-0 at home to Manchester United on January 2, 2017 in the last meeting between the two teams.

With the signing of Romelu Lukaku, Man U are expected to brim with confidence in their attack and begin the season on a winning note.
