Tiwa Savage, Wizkid And Pharell To Fight Poverty With Music
Global Citizen is an organization advocating for the eradication of extreme poverty by the year 2030.
The organization in partnership with Warner Music Group subsidiaries in the UK and US would release a four-track project featuring artistes from all over the world, including Nigeria’s Tiwa Savage and Wizkid.
Titled Global Citizen EP 1, the project sees musicians such as David Guetta, Pharrell and Stormzy join forces to tackle persisting issues of inequality around the world.
All proceeds from the EP will go towards efforts to alleviate extreme poverty, gender inequality and more.
The last track of the project, "Voodoo" features Danny Ocean, David Guetta, Tiwa Savage and Wizkid.
As well as their contribution to the EP, Wizkid and Tiwa will also be performing at the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100, alongside fellow Nigerians, D'Banj and Femi Kuti.
The project is scheduled to be released this Friday, November 30, with the first single from it already available on streaming platforms.
