The national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu has ruled out another term for the Chairman of the party in Lagos, Henry Ajomale.

Also ruled out are other executives of the party at the state, local and ward levels who have served more than more term.

Tinubu gave the order on Tuesday during the party’s meeting held at the party’s secretariat in Ogba.

While thanking Ajomale and others affected, Tinubu said it is time for a new breed of politicians to take control of the party in the state.

Elections of new officers for the party at the ward, local , state and national levels begin on May 4 and end on May 14 with the national convention of the party in Abuja.

Ajomale has been chairman of the party since its formation in 2014.

He was also the Chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) before the party merged with three others to form the APC.

Ajomale, who was a Commissioner under Tinubu fell out with his boss after he supported the tenure elongation for the National Chairman of the party, John Oyegun.

Ajomale was present at the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the party where the tenure of the Oyegun-led National Working Committee (NWC) was extended.

Tinubu had objected to the tenure extension.

Although, Ajomale has come out to say he was powerless as those who voted for the extension were more than those who voted against it.

Ajomale, who said he was not aware of Tinubu’s position on the party’s National Chairman, added that his opposition to the proposal would not have made any difference.
